Very formative video man. You define yourself very often as an unexperienced novice but your hands are gold. The only thing I didn't like about this video is the usage of the chemical foam. There are many alternative eco-friendly options out there that work as good as that... For the rest is pure craftmanship excellence.

As far as video length- how ever long is effective to explain and show what you’re doing.. because how would anyone learn without knowing details on DIY’s.. The title segments are perfect to skip to when I need to refer to something 👍🏻😊

That white 'stop leak' pipe tape, they say you should roll it and wrap it around following all the screw threads, then full wrap it once or twice over the entire thread. Apparently it's a much better way to used that white pipe 'stop leak' tape. Just sayin.

I just bought a ranch style house. $80k, put $12k down. There are still affordable homes, you just have to look, have some money saved (or tax session cash infusion) and its attainable. With mortgage, monthly property tax break down and home insurance, paying about the same per month as we were on our 2br apartment. Also have to be willing to take on home repairs lol.

I hope you make enough money from this that you can afford to build a nice big house, I think we would all love to watch you take on a regular house build, clearing the land, digging the foundation all. Good luck and you do great work! Although I think you should've hired out the spray foam. I don't think that stuff in the can is good enough R-value to do a whole house. And it's almost always best to run the flooring with the longest wall.

*Consider 'wood fired heat' and solar, hydro, wind charged battery powered DC mini split air conditioning / heat pump... if you need air conditioning, in your part of Canada. DIRECT CURRENT appliances 'do not require' a power wasting inverter to operate. 'AC' ALTERNATING CURRENT appliances might require an inverter to run from wind, hydro, or solar charged battery banks. Hydro, Wind and Steam power can be used to generate electricity in AC format or DC format. IF batteries are involved that is a Direct Current source and might require the power wasting inverter. So, consider Direct Current appliances. They just might work better or more efficiently. In some forested parts of Alaska, wood fired steam generators are producing electricity. This can be done as part of a grid system or at the individual level.*
